No! We specialise in people within the industry and surrounding industries that are in a similar position to yourself where you possess the skill or part of the skill prior to joining the course.

VTCT/NVQ qualifications involve the delivery of course content plus assessments at the end of the course (in the form of observed practical treatments, homework assignments and multiple choice format theory examinations). When students like yourself have part knowledge of a technique or skill, we have an alternative route to full course delivery called the assessment route.

Assessment routes to qualifications allow a centre and student to develop an individual progression plan where the level of current skill and knowledge of the student is ascertained and where a gap in knowledge is identified, the centre and student work together to fill the remaining knowledge and skill, allowing you to move into assessments towards qualification achievement a little faster. In a sense this is a “fast-track” option known as RPL (Recognised Prior Learning).

Students in this scenario will begin with an initial session called a Skill Test which allows the student to demonstrate the skill they currently possess via a practical treatment observed by a member of centre staff. This will help to identify the current level of knowledge and whether any further learning is required to move forward into assessments. At this point an agreed action plan is developed between centre and student to prepare you for assessments. Students within this scenario still undergo all assessments elements e.g. number of practical treatment assessments required, homework assignments and multiple choice format theory examinations.

Please note that course durations are based on student achievement and where extra support or potential re-takes of examinations are required, this will require further sessions pre-arranged between you and your course tutor.

Each course is run over a number of weeks or sessions depending on the qualification and whether you/re undergoing the assessment route or the teaching & assessment route. Please be aware that if any re-sits or re-assessments are required, these will be pre-arranged between you and your tutor to best support you during your course.  

If your selected course comes with blended delivery learning, your in-person classroom sessions will be held over 4-8hour sessions on either weekends, evenings or weekdays and cover the practical elements of your qualification. We are based in Northwood, London just opposite Northwood Metropolitan Line station and have a local Car Park which is free to park on Sundays just a 2 min walk away!

Of course! The cost of living has increased for everyone and we understand that you’ll be looking at how best to manage every penny! If the course you are interested in qualifies for instalment options, you can spread the cost of your course fee over a number of months to help with manageability. Once you have learnt all of the required knowledge for your chosen subject(s) each qualification will have its own structure of assessment. This can include a mixture of multiple-choice theory examinations, practical assessments, case studies and assignment questions. Please see specific course details for more information.

Upon successful completion of all required assessment elements your portfolio of evidence will be verified by our quality team and submitted to the Awarding Body. Certificates are received as physical copies which are posted directly to you from our offices.
